The Program Coordinator will be responsible for: - Supporting a multidisciplinary team of surgeons and specialists in our Vascular Ring Program and managing the daily administrative operations of the program.
- Providing excellent service to patients and families with answering phones, triaging patient and family questions, scheduling patient appointments, and coordinating ancillary services.
- Ensuring that the weekly clinic is prepped including but not limited to drafting and collating documentation, obtaining referrals from referring practitioners, and confirming upcoming scheduled appointments.
- Maintaining and overseeing surgeons schedule and calendar.
- Collaborating with other hospital staff to provide problem solving assistance and answer questions about the program and its goals. Referring inquiries to others as needed.
- Other administrative duties supporting the Vascular Ring Program and the Department of General Surgery as needed.
To qualify you must have: - Associate's degree with one year of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
- The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
- Experience in an academic medical center and clinic operations, strongly preferred.
- The ability to be highly organized, work independently, and to demonstrate strong time management skills, and possess a high level of attention to detail.
