Position Summary: The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, seeks a full-time faculty member who will be eligible for tenure at the associate professor level or higher to deliver teaching, research and service in one or more areas of health-related disciplines. Rutgers New Brunswick is a Big 10 university and a member of AAU. The school has several highly ranked programs in the areas of city and regional planning, public policy, health administration, undergraduate public health, and related areas. Our research centers are a focal point of social and economic research on infrastructure, the built environment, the environment, social inequalities, and upstream determinants of health (Examples of the school's research on upstream determinants of health can be found here (https://bloustein.rutgers.edu/centers/health-at-bloustein/). The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, seeks a full-time faculty member eligible for tenure at the associate professor level or higher to deliver teaching, research and service in one or more areas of health-related disciplines. We are looking for a senior faculty member (eligible for tenure as Associate or Full Professor) who will lead research and teach about inequalities and upstream determinants of health, and other areas of synergy to the Bloustein School. The ideal candidate will have a background at the intersection of public health, urban planning and policy-making, and/or data science and informatics. The school seeks candidates whose research, teaching, and/or service reflects a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Minimum Education and Experience: The candidate will carry out and grow a research agenda in their area of research. The Bloustein School has a number of research centers in a range of areas such as transportation, workforce development, energy, survey research, urban and public informatics, and other areas that provide excellent venues for public health- and health policy-related research. Be the faculty mentor and teach in our long-running and highly ranked undergraduate public health program, and other (in-person and online) graduate and undergraduate programs.
