The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking qualified applicants for the Norfleet-Raney Distinguished Professorship and Vice Chair of Research in the Department of Orthopaedics. Qualified applicants are expected to have an outstanding research record with extramural funding and leadership skills to develop a strong multidisciplinary collaborative musculoskeletal research program. This will involve integrating research in the department with groups at UNC having strong musculoskeletal programs including the Thurston Arthritis Research Center, Exercise and Sports Science, Cell Biology and Physiology, the Gillings School of Global Public Health, and Biomedical Engineering (a joint program with NC State Engineering providing unique opportunities for collaboration across campuses). The position will include a joint appointment in the department, center and/or school most appropriate for the professor’s specific discipline.
