The Research Assistant in this position will interact with a variety of investigators from the Heart Center (Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery and Cardiovascular Nursing), and the Cardiovascular & Critical Care Cluster of Clinical Research Excellence, including those in the Heart Center, Critical Care, Nutrition and Pain Management. Tasks will be a mixture of short- and longer-term activities that may involve but are not limited to regulatory submissions, data abstraction from the medical record, data and specimen coordination, study preparation, and patient screening and patient contacts both in person and by phone. The successful candidate will be adaptable, skilled with multi-tasking, have strong written and oral communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
