Position Details: The Loyola University Maryland Counseling Center invites applications and nominations for the position of Psychologist II – Outreach and Public Health. We are seeking a new colleague who, in addition to having strong clinical skills and interest in providing a range of clinical services, will coordinate our outreach and public health programs, and also collaborate with campus partners in maintaining and growing a supportive, inclusive environment on campus. Past public health campaigns aimed at educating the campus community on a variety of topics have included suicide prevention, body pride, mindfulness, and grief and loss among others. The Counseling Center is comprised of a multidisciplinary staff that strives to provide culturally competent clinical services, outreach programming, and training opportunities. We are a counseling center that affirms and values inclusion and equity and encourages the utilization of our services by all students. To this end, we seek to provide a safe, welcoming and affirming environment for all. The successful candidate will add to a strong foundation of diversity focused services that includes an ongoing staff Cultural Reflections Seminar and staff Social Justice Committee, among others. We are seeking colleagues whose professional philosophies align with our dedication to the whole person and the University's Jesuit values of justice, community, and a constant challenge to improve. Specific Duties: 2. Provide consultation to faculty, administrators and parents/guardians. 3. Participate in after-hours rotation as back-up to ProtoCall on-call service and Student Life staff. 4. Take leadership responsibility in managing and developing our outreach and public health services. Past public health campaigns aimed at educating the campus community on a variety of topics have included suicide prevention, body pride, mindfulness, and grief and loss among others. 5. Develop a liaison relationship with a population of interest to the applicant and of demonstrated need in the Counseling Center (e.g., student-athletes, international students, students with disabilities). 6. Supervision: provide clinical supervision of trainees. 7. Public Health and Outreach: participate in community engagement; provide culturally responsive public health prevention initiatives; serve as liaison to campus colleagues and student leaders; serve on campus-wide committees. Please note that some evening and weekend hours involving crisis intervention (primarily phone based) and outreach activities are required. 8.
