Location: Illinois: Chicago Job Description: - Manages day-to-day implementation of an experimental social policy research project, including primary data collection, while ensuring fidelity to research ethics and study design.
- Oversees quality control of primary materials and data entry, including maintaining each studyâ™s data entry process.
- Contributes to research design and coordinates implementation with program partners; travels to program sites to monitor and assess implementation.
- Manages grant reporting, prepares human subjects permission protocols and amendments for IRB permission, and obtains other research permits as needed.
- Prepares results for memos, spreadsheets, and presentations targeting practitioners, policymakers and academic researchers.
- Conducts field research and data entry as needed.
- Develops and disseminates necessary project materials to research team and partner agencies.
- Writes, proofreads and fact-checks academic papers, reports and presentations.
- Prepares project memos, summaries, presentations and manuscripts targeting both technical and non-technical audiences, including policymakers, academic researchers and other stakeholders.
- Supervise other part-time or full-time Urban Labs research staff.
- Â Applies research principles and relevant subject matter knowledge relevant to administer a research project. With a moderate level of direction, manages lab and/or research-related duties and tasks. Helps develop, design and conduct research projects according to plan.
- Supports data collection and analytical needs of research projects. Conducts literature reviews and helps write reports and manuscripts. Ensures project compliance with different policies, procedures, directives, and mandates.
- Performs other related work as needed
Preferred Qualifications Education: - Master's degree in public health, economics, sociology, public policy or other relevant social/mathematical science field.
Experience: - A minimum of one year of relevant research experience.
- Experience working with STATA, SAS, R, SQL or other programming languages.
- Experience working on field experiments.
- Â Familiarity with randomized controlled trials.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
