The American Board of Medical Specialties is seeking a Vice-President, Policy and Public Affairs.
The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) serves the public and the medical profession by improving the quality of health care through setting professional and educational standards for medical specialty practice and certification in partnership with its certifying Member Boards. These elevate the standards for patient care and care improvements.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Policy and External Relations, the Vice-President, Policy and Public Affairs, provides strategic and operational oversight for ABMS policy development and strategic engagement with ABMS associate members, federal agencies, state medical boards, professional organizations, and other public stakeholders of specialty certification to strengthen and increase the value of ABMS specialty board certification. The role requires creativity to support and implement strategic objectives.
