The research Data Coordinator Collaborates with Project Directors and Principal Investigators on the design, functionality, development, implementation, and validation of large or relational databases. Develops CRFs and data management and data quality procedures. Performs descriptive statistical analysis. Supervises junior data managers and data entry staff. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Leads data coordination and management for studies supported by the Clinical Research Program.
- Assists research biostatisticians with analysis file creation and statistical analyses.
- Supports clinical research reporting for data review, quality control checks, and interim and final analysis.
- Designs, develops, and validates databases using application software suitable for supporting clinical research investigations, including large relational databases and web-based systems.
- Provides educational support and training to investigators and study staff for the development and implementation of research studies. Also serves as faculty and/or course director for CRP project and data management courses.
- Supervises data management staff and provides project management support for CRP studies.
- Serves as credible expert/leader for data management best practices. Collaborates with Core Leader to establish priorities and strategies for resource development and core goal setting.
- Provides positive and effective customer service and contributes to teamwork within and between departments, divisions, programs and other organizations.
- Ensures work in the CRP is performed in conformance with established hospital, program, federal, and state policies and procedures.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Public Health, or a closely related field plus previous professional experience in the areas of research, data management, and data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical, communication, organizational, and writing skills.
- Some quantitative analysis skills in programs like SPSS, Stata, and/or R preferred.
- Some qualitative analysis skills in programs like ATLAS-ti preferred.
- Experience with citation tools like Mendeley, EndNote, and RefWorks preferred.
- Knowledge of screenings and assessments for children and families.
- Interest in applied research with children, families, and training and technical assistance programs.
- Experience working with diverse populations, experience with tribal communities preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to travel.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
