The Software Sourcing lead position is a key member of Vendor Management team at Stanford University IT. Vendor Management team manages major campus wide technology software licensing for the University and handles all vendor related issues for University IT. This is a high visibility position for a seasoned strategic sourcing professional with proven track record and expertise in negotiating software, especially cloud based software purchases and managing technology vendors and contract renewals. This will include developing and negotiating licensing terms and pricing to best meet the University's needs and drive the best value for the University. CORE DUTIES*: * - Other duties may also be assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree with minimum of ten years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience. Proven experience in negotiating software, cloud based software and other technology product acquisition required.
