For the 2021-2022 residency year, the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in Oklahoma City seeks to fill one (1) position in the Ambulatory Care Residency Program accredited by ASHP. The PGY2 Ambulatory Care residency program is a 12-month program and provides the residents with the academic rank of Clinical Instructor with the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. Residents are involved in the education of pharmacy students, resident physicians, medical students, faculty physicians, and other members of the healthcare team. The primary practice site is affiliated with the OU General Internal Medicine outpatient clinic and is located in Oklahoma City. The residency program provides opportunities to practice in interdisciplinary as well as pharmacist-managed collaborative practice clinics. The residency program is designed to meet the individual interests and needs of the resident. The stipend for PGY2 residents is $46,000 for the residency year. Residents have 12 vacation days and 11 days of holiday time during the residency year as well as paid professional leave to attend at least one professional conference and up to 8 additional paid leave days for interviewing for post-residency positions. Candidates must have a Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy, have completed a PGY1 residency, be eligible for licensure in the state of Oklahoma, and demonstrate the personal and professional maturity required of the specialty pharmacy practitioner. Requirements for the application dossier include a completed PhORCAS application, letter of intent, curriculum vitae, transcripts from Doctor of Pharmacy coursework, and three standardized PhORCAS references. Selected applicants will be invited to interview via virtual format due to current public health environment. Along with PhORCAS registration, all candidates must register with the ASHP Residency Matching Program through National Matching Services.
