This NIH study will test the effectiveness of an intervention designed to promote COVID testing uptake, adoption of COVID control measures, and mutual aid capacity at the household level. The findings from this study will provide an evidence-base to inform current and future public health initiatives related to COVID-19 mitigation in underserved and vulnerable communities. The Project Manager will report to Dr. Holly Hagan, Professor, School of Global Public Health, and Director of the Center for Drug Use and HIV Research (CDUHR). The PM will be responsible for coordination and monitoring of field work, specifically recruitment and data collection in New York City Housing Authority buildings in the South Bronx. The PM will also support the PIs in developing reports to be submitted to the funder (NIH) and regulatory agencies (the NYU IRB). CDUHR is an NIH-funded Center that supports transdisciplinary research to prevent and treat HIV, HCV, overdose, and substance use. Dr. Guilamo-Ramos directs the Center for Latino Adolescent and Family Health, which seeks to foster the development, evaluation, and dissemination of evidence-based interventions designed to promote positive Latino youth development, and examine and address issues such as immigration and their impact on Latino families and communities. Key Responsibilities: The initial appointment is a one-year appointment and may be renewed. Continued employment in this position is subject to the availability of grant funding.
