Administrative Assistant - (20001576) Description ChildObesity180 is a unique and multidisciplinary organization that leverages innovative approaches from nutrition and public health, systems science, and the business community to transform the way communities prevent obesity. We bring together experts and leaders to gather diverse perspectives, build consensus, and drive coordinated, comprehensive action to improve environments and promote health for everyone. Through ongoing, rigorous evaluation of the transformation process, we continually adapt and refine our approach to meet the needs of all the communities in which we work, and to advance the field of obesity prevention broadly. ChildObesity180 is part of the Gerald J and Dorothy R Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University and is located at Tufts University's Boston, MA campus. Job Summary Under minimal supervision, the Administrative Assistant or Administrative Coordinator provides advanced administrative support and communications for ChildObesity180 and the Director. S/he will handle complex and confidential situations and requests and serve in a highly visible capacity as resource for the organization with students, staff, faculty and other constituents. S/he will assist the Director with daily operation of the office and organization. Produces and drafts reports and other complex documents and materials, including proofreading and editing, designing layout and graphics for presentations. Will also gather data and draft reports, summaries or material for presentation. S/he will plan and coordinate meetings and special events. May also assist with coordination of programs and/or projects for ChildObesity180. Qualifications Typically a high school diploma/GED and 5+ years of administrative experience OR a bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience. Requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including word processing, editing and graphics functions, spreadsheet and database knowledge. In addition excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
