Position Summary The Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health seeks a Short-Term Casual to assist in analyzing data from a new partnership between the Department of Epidemiology and Otsuka Pharmaceuticals, a large Japanese pharmaceutical company. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and research team, the incumbent will be responsible for data analysis of large patient data sets, specifically working with Cox regression and survival analysis. The incumbent will also assist the Principal Investigators and research team in manuscript preparation and presentation of materials for conferences and lectures. S/he will perform other related duties as assigned. This is a part time position.
Responsibilities Data management and analysis, 85% Create presentations of results and supporting material for scholarly presentations and papers, grant proposals and ongoing research meetings, 10% Perform other related duties as assigned, 5%
Minimum Qualifications Requires a Master's degree. Must have experience with statistical software and data analysis. Specifically, must have experience with large patient based datasets (like SEER Medicare) and know how to perform survival analysis. Must be detail-oriented, with excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and diplomacy at all times.
