Posted Job Title Director of Nutrition & Wellness EducationJob Profile Title Associate Director CJob Description Summary The Agatston Urban Nutrition Initiative (AUNI) is a major component of the University-Assisted Community Schools (UACS) program of Penn's Netter Center for Community Partnerships. AUNI has a comprehensive approach to improving nutritional health and fitness that engages, educates and empowers youth, University students, and community members in democratic and mutually beneficial collaborations. AUNI's Director of Nutrition and Wellness Education will work as part of a Netter Center team to support nutrition and wellness programming. The Director also works with university students on public health initiatives within the university and community. This includes evaluation projects and creating agents of change through policy, systems, and environmental change initiatives.Job Description DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities of this role include: managing the policy, system, environmental change and evaluation components of the USDA funded SNAP-Ed program, leading the Community Supported Agriculture team and programming, and leading the Adult Senior Nutrition Program team and programming. The position supervises 6 FTE staff and works with multiple university students and departments. The position will work closely with the Director of AUNI Operations to ensure programming is aligned and compliant with grant requirements. A component of the position will be to further develop the educational frameworks of our nutrition and wellness education programming. The position works with staff and partners to select evidence based curriculum most appropriate and effective for their audience. The position will directly support the professional development of our nutrition education staff, approve nutrition content and recipes, serve as a nutrition expert on staff, and ensure that AUNI summer programming meets SNAP-Ed requirements. QUALIFICATIONS A Bachelor's Degree and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Master's in Public Health or equivalent degree strongly preferred. RD degree/certification with community focus is required. Experience directing public health programs or projects required. Experience in an urban community education program is required. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience specifically directing a SNAP-Ed or similar federally funded program. A strong candidate will have experience in urban education, supervision, program management and evaluation. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and foster high quality connections is critical.
