DUTIES: - Work closely with AEP/PREP Project Staff to develop new advocacy, outreach and prevention education materials for the PREP Initiative. - Attend training and seminars on community health, HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Disease, Teaching Skills and Evidence Based Programs. - Provide administrative support to the THEO staff and Peers as needed. - Conduct recruitment for program (new members and community workshops). - Escort at risk teens to partnership clinics for HIV Counseling and Testing, Pregnancy Testing, medical services and STI testing. - Co-facilitate evidence based curriculum with staff. - Lead THEO Town Hall meeting/World AIDS Dat Event at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. - Participate in STAR Community Advisory Board, BATES Youth Network, leadership group and community boards. - Plan, develop, implement and monitor all social media outreach including The Chat. (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ABOVE POSITION DESCRIPTION) QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma with 1 year experience or college student majoring in Public Health, Social Work, Education or Counseling. Must have an interest in sexual health, HIV prevention or counseling. Be able to work in a group setting and feel comfortable providing support to high school students in a work environment.
