The Sen Lab at the Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience Institute (MBNI) is seeking a qualified Research Area Specialist Associate to provide support for the conduct of the Intern Health Study, a national NIH-funded longitudinal cohort study that assesses genetic, mobile technology, and program factors involved in the development of depression under stress. As a part of the study, 1500 to 3000 participants per year complete surveys pertaining to personality traits, stressful life events, and psychological symptoms, and submit daily mood ratings via the Intern Health mobile app. They also wear a Fitbit for the purpose of measuring activity and sleep, and provide a salivary DNA sample. The Research Area Specialist Associate will work under the direction of the study director, as well as in close collaboration with undergraduate and graduate students, study staff, and the Principal Investigator. Pursuit of independent research projects would also be encouraged.
