The main purpose of this position is to serve as the Deputy Health Officer for Public Health for the Anne Arundel County Department of Health by providing clinical medical oversight to the activities of the Department and providing support for the Health Officer in the leadership of the Department in pursuit of its mission, \"To preserve, promote, and protect the health of all the residents of Anne Arundel County\". This position will oversee five public health bureaus with respect to health issues and quality assurance. The bureaus are Behavioral Health, Environmental Health, Family Health, Disease Prevention and Management and School Health. This position will also act as liaison to other agencies, academic institutions, key stakeholders, community groups and serve on appropriate committees and task force as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, public health, health care administration or a related field of study, current licensure from a Maryland licensure Board and 5 years of experience in program management that includes direct supervision of staff.

Preferred candidates should possess:
