The HR Solution Architect is a technical leader who evaluates the business and technical requirements to create an overall application architecture design for development and implementation in conjunction with the other IT and business teams. They provide overall direction on technical processes and products to support existing and new initiatives. This will include troubleshooting, designing, building and maintaining customization, enhancements and integrations. This individual will be a key stakeholder in determining the strategic future of HR systems evaluating current application state, recommending improvements, automations and reduction in complexity, making the portfolio more efficient, more robust, user-friendly, etc. He/she will have additional responsibilities, which may include technology leadership of any assigned projects. The solution architect guides and participates in development and production support of cloud-based applications used for people data management, payroll and timekeeping (Workday and ADP). Responsibilities include but not limited to the following: - Participates in the review of existing and creation of future architecture to ensure systems are optimized, high quality and robust.
- Troubleshoots, improves and advises on the functionality of customization and integrations with a variety of human resource systems.
- Provides expertise in supporting and evaluating all the applications in the human resources portfolio, recommending technical and application releases in order to support business needs, taking into account requirements of other IT initiatives.
- Ensures the technical solutions meets the business needs in the most effective, efficient, and technically appropriate way.
- Analyzes and makes recommendations regarding system and process enhancements to streamline HR and Payroll operations system supported processes
- Documents solutions from both a technical and business perspective.
- Works with the IT Corporate Functions team to develop technology strategy and road map by researching, evaluating and considering alternative technology options that are available in the market both independently and by management request. Formulates recommendations and implementation plans.
- Ensures timely customer-focused responses to enhancement requests, troubles assistance, and other technical requests.
- Coordinates and guides project and support (internal and external) resources across various project and system support workstreams.
- Provides thorough technical documentation including design and technical documentation for assigned projects.
- Minimum Bachelors degree is required.
- Minimum 10 yrs experience in IT is required.
- Minimum 5 yrs experience in a HR business/systems analysis role, solutions architect or related experience is required
- Workday certifications/training credits for HCM, Benefits, Recruiting, Advanced Compensation, Performance, Security, Payroll required.
- Knowledge of and ability to manage and troubleshoot integrations between Workday, ADP, Success Factors and 3rd party providers required.
- Skillful in gathering and analyzing requirements impacting data-intensive applications/systems, and building solutions for satisfying those requirements
- Superior written and oral communication skills as well as meeting facilitation skills
- Experience in Agile methodology is an asset
- Expert in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint and be able to articulate ideas and solutions leveraging these tools to broad set of audience, including developers, testers, management and business partners
- Experience in developing process flows and architectural diagrams
- Global/Enterprise HR platform implementation experience required
- Up to 10% travel is required based upon business need.
