Responsibilities OVERVIEW: The Research Administrator 2 is an essential member of the RA team supporting the Berkeley Regional Services ProS Region. The ProS Region supports University Extension and eight professional schools on the UC Berkeley campus including: Haas School of Business; Goldman School of Public Policy; School of Optometry; Berkeley Law; School of Public Health; School of Social Welfare; Graduate School of Education; and the Graduate School of Journalism. The ProS Region is replete with distinguished faculty, innovative academic programs and highly professional and collaborative staff. The ProS leadership team is committed to fostering diversity, inclusion, continuous improvement, and creating an environment where every voice is heard. Research administration professionals within the ProS Region provide the full range of pre-award and post-award support services to their clients, in close collaboration with the Sponsored Projects Office (SPO), Industry Alliances Office (IAO), Extramural Funds Accounting (EFA), and other central compliance groups. Under general supervision, organizes, plans, establishes and monitors fiscal budget control of contracts and grants administration, gifts, endowments and privately funded projects for faculty research programs. Ensures complete and accurate collection of research administration at all stages of the contract and grant life cycle. Provides standard financial reports and projections.
