UCSF Adolescent Medicine Faculty Physician/Assistant Director Eating Disorder Program

The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine, Department of Pediatrics at UCSF is recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank in the HS Clinical or Clinical X faculty series. Academic rank is commensurate with experience.
Qualified candidates must possess a medical degree, board certification in General Pediatrics or Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, and Board certification/eligibility in Adolescent Medicine.
Clinical focus will be on the management of adolescent and young adult patients with eating disorder in the inpatient and outpatient settings. UCSF has a multi-disciplinary eating disorder program that cares for eating disorder patients hospitalized at the Benioff Children’s Hospital, San Francisco and in outpatient clinics including the UCSF adolescent and young adult clinic in San Francisco and satellite outreach clinics in the greater bay area.
The faculty member will also serve as the Assistant Medical Director of the UCSF Adolescent and Young Adult Eating Disorder Program. In this role, the faculty member will have 0.10 protected time for program development and outreach.
She or he will play an active role in the ongoing training and education of medical students, Pediatric Residents and Adolescent Medicine Fellows in both the ambulatory and inpatient settings. In addition, the UCSF Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine trains learners from other disciplines including nutrition, nursing, psychology and social work.
The faculty member will join a well-established interdisciplinary division including faculty in Medicine (Pediatrics and Internal Medicine), Nutrition, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology and Public Health and Policy.
