The Department of Child, Family, and Population Health Nursing at the University of Washington, invites applications for a full-time 9-month tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in Autumn 2020. The Department of Child, Family, and Population Health Nursing is committed to nursing that promotes wellness, social justice, and health equity for diverse individuals, families, and communities. The school excels at supporting research and fostering the academic and professional growth of faculty and students. The School is home to several research centers, including the Center for Global Health Nursing, the Barnard Center for Infant Mental Health and Development, the de Tornyay Center for Healthy Aging, the Center for Innovation in Sleep Self-Management, and the Northwest Roybal Center for Translational Research on Aging. Faculty also have productive partnerships with Seattle Children's Hospital, Seattle Children's Research Institute. Candidates with an earned PhD in nursing science or a related field are eligible to apply. Eligibility for an RN license in Washington State is required for this position; preference will be given to those who have completed a post-doctoral fellowship by 09/15/2020 Applicants should provide a formal letter of interest indicating teaching and research interests, noting how their academic experiences have prepared them to support the School of Nursing's mission and its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
