Employment Type: Permanent Faculty Vacancy ID: FAC0002903 Salary Range: Commensurate with experience Position Summary/Description: The University Of North Carolina Adams School Of Dentistry (ASoD) in collaboration with the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) is seeking an experienced leader to launch the Rural Oral Health Scholars (ROHS) Program. The Dental Director at the UNC Health Sciences Campus at MAHEC will be based in Asheville, NC with occasional duties at the UNC Chapel Hill campus. The Director will provide leadership in the design and implementation of the program and serve as MAHEC's Chair of Dentistry. The Director will work closely with the faculty at ASoD and interprofessionally with the other UNC Health Sciences faculty at MAHEC, with representation from the schools of Pharmacy, Public Health, and Medicine. The position will be expected to provide direct patient care and supervise clinical activities of general practice residents and dental students. Education and Experience: Preference given to those who have successfully completed a General Practice Residency Program or Advanced Education in General Dentistry program.
